Spend the money on a proper job! I was a tight arse when I had mine done and the mutant penis munching idiot that did mine didn't have a clue, and the rust is back. When I next see him I will be re inventing the tango advert lol

If a car I like with a known problem could be sold for only about £1000, say, and it costs the same again to fix it, I always ask myself what I could buy for £2000 that I'd prefer.

I nearly always end up keeping the car.

You lot look at it strangely. The car might have cost you £1000. But it still a £25000 car.
I must have spent £12000 on a car that cost me £3500.

Mine are rusting again after a freebie repair so I need both sides and both sills ffs

Plus my paint is a "kustom" colour so ill need a respray

All in 2.5/3k I'm being quoted
Nearly sold the bloody thing for 700 quid when I heard that.

I've cheaped out on arch repair in the past only for the problem to come back worse only a few months later which is heart breaking. Mine's booked in at a local reputable bodyshop next month and I've been quoted £350 to cut out and replace the offside arch plus a bit for any fabrication needed on the sill but approx £400 all in. I'll be getting the other side done later in the year when funds are available. I bought the repair panels from Cebul as many have on here and my guy reckons they're good - he's come highly recommended and knows his stuff. Since I drink with him at my local there may be some mates rates going on but I don't know him that well so can't imagine it's far off the going rate...
