What is the best gasket or sealer to use when attaching a spolier to the boot lid? New bits for the track car

Also, the spolier has two additional "guide pins" But the boot lid doesnt have holes for them, should there be marks on the boot lid where to drill for them?

There are no marks for the guide pins, and you need to drill down through the skin for those Also, remember to add a hole for the wiring for the brake light.

For gasket, I'm going to use: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2mm-thick-neo ... 500wt_1129 and cut it to shape/size. You can then use the gasket as a template to get the guide pin holes right.

With regards to the "guide pins" what are we actually talking here? I mean what spoiler is it? Can you remove the guide pins and just rely on the OEM fitment?

What was that 3rd hole for Shiny? (The smaller raised role before you ask )

Shiny my current boot lid kind of looks like that after removing my VS spoiler as well (without the holes though), but my paint is crap.

Nathan, its an OEM spoiler. It has the two regular bolts and a smaller pin between them. Im almost contemplating chopping the guide pins off

The two holes on the right are for the bolts, the one on the left is for the guide pin.

And yes the gunk is where my VS spoiler was fitted over the OEM spoiler.

I used this method, to fix up a gasket on my old Sir when the light was leaking.

Of all the OEM spoilers I've had in the past, none of them have had guide pins I say just remove them, they're obviously not needed.

Use the gaskets as templates, but double check by measuring between hole markings from side to side and then comparing it to the spoiler before drilling yeah? Also measure from the back hole centre to the edge of the boot line on each side as well. I know you're switched on, but just in case

The boot lid has two holes in it already, fingers crossed they are spaced properly for that spoiler.
