Lude Generation

Hey all, I know I don't own a Prelude anymore but still check in and know a few of you guys are really clued up on Bilt Hamber products!

I need to underseal my 4x4 and want to use Bilt stuff but not 100% which stuff to get etc?

My thoughts were:
1. Wire brush/flap wheel and lots of scrubbing
2. Deox-gel to remove any rust patches
3. Dynax S50 in the holes of the chassis etc
4. Dynax-ub to coat the underside (2 coats)

Does this sound right as a few people have mentioned other coatings before the Dynax-ub to give a primer? I'm not after a show car finish as I do occasionally take it off-road etc. What do you think?

I probably would use a wire brush as it may cut the paint work and cause rust.
I used Surfex HD neat and a brush for cleaning pateos with and a karcher.
Treat rust with hydrate 80 or deox, perhaps use electrox or etchweld over those treated area.
Then go on with the Dynax UB. The 1st coat wont cover and will look thin.
The next coat will go on very thick.
Try 2 or 3 coats.
Shake the tin well before use. I use 2.5 tins on my Lude.
Dynax S50 in the sills etc. Until it seeps out of the seams.

Yes i stongly advise a warm day. I did it in the winter and it took 24 hours between coats. I rekon you can put coats on in 6hours intervals in above 20degree air temps.

Also it you get any on your paint work or unwanted areas paint thinner etc does bugger all.

Use ferrosol to thin it out and rub it off. Ferrosol your suspension too. I soak my coilovers in it to protect from rust.
