Headlight Refurb

Post by Giomani » Sat May 05, 2012 6:07 pm

As my calipers didn't arrive in time for the weekend I refurbed my headlights on the 5g. I was so impressed I did a little before and after shot for you.

I used the 3M headlight refurb kit for £20 and still have enough to do the front indicators.

Very nice! I definitely need to do this. What's this about a 3M kit?

I probably spent a couple of hours on it, I kinda lost track of time.. the system uses a normal drill so it was pretty easy to do.

I got the kit here http://www.3mselect.co.uk/p-2639-3m-hea ... n-kit.aspx, lots of YouTube vids about it... like this one which inspired me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-UrXrr01Uig

Cheers bud, I'll definitely be trying this! Need to reseal my lights, must have missed a spot when putting them back together as one gets condesation in it when I clean the car

Just a side note, when I had my lights apart I cleaned the inside as well, made quite a difference. Just wish I hadn't used silicone sealant to stick em back together, no chance of getting them apart now!
