Lude Generation

Hey everyone.

Been a while but somehow i still have the 94 2.3 on the road.

I have my MoT coming up so i thought i might take some time so sort out some of the body work issues.

The main problem i have is that some very nice person has completely smashed my wing mirrors and mounts on both sides to the point that they are dangling off the car.

Can anyone advise roughly how much i would be looking at for mounts on both sides and 1 mirror plate? if it makes a difference, i wont be needing to use the electronic moving part, i just want it to look presentable.

Also will this be hard to find?

im sure ive got a couple of wing mirrors kicking about somewhere...they might be ukdm ones so are non folding. Think one is red and the other is silver-would have to check.
would probably be about £8-£10 to post them out to you but im not looking for anything for the parts.

ive found one so far - its a ukdm driver side one in red (no glass)
will have a look for the other one later on.....

this thread has made me mad and made me happy , mad at the thought of the scumbags that feel the need to destroy things but you vanzep are a proper gent with your kind offer of parts at just postage costs this to me is the core of the family that is a forum all out to help others keep there cars on the road at minimum costs

Andy - ive found a set of phantom grey jdm folding wing mirrors - great condition but the motors are a bit weak - should be good enough for MOT if you still need them.

Just to note that if you get hold of non power-fold mirrors, it's entirely possible to swap the innards from your power fold ones into them.

did you take pics of the damage? or is it fixed already?

its a problem that everyone faces, not necessarily from vandals but oblivious drivers are far from the same thing.

Plus ive always been curious are the mounting points the same as the 5G ?

does anyone have any pics of the contact point where the bolts meet the unit? ...everyone just shows off the paint in the pics i see everywhere.
