Anyone painted their brakes gold?

Post by Max » Sun May 14, 2017 9:15 pm

As above im in the process of rebuilding/refurbing my brakes and i want to paint them gold, has anyone on here done this and what was the result like?

I'm aiming for a light gold colour, no gloss, something subtle like this...

As opposed to this in your face...

Any recommendations?

i guess its like most paint choices its what you like and what look your going for , if you use a mat clear coat you will have the protection without the shine
success is the ability to go from one failure to the next without any loss of enthusiasm :D :D

The light gold ones look OK on our black 5G.
I agree that the over-bling ones should be avoided.

Wow that looks brilliant and exactly what I was going for, your level of OCD appeals to me haha I must have a proper look through your project thread, is there any chance you can find out exactly what you used?

Depends what I end up using but good call, I hadn't thought about using matt clear :)
