Someone rate my nuts

Post by sol-lude » Wed Nov 15, 2017 8:19 pm

Right 1st off I just want to say they are dirty...now that that's out the way.

I've been conducting my own little review on how best to tackle rust and I know that this has been covered probably more times than I can count but I wanted to know myself.

Now I'm not rich and do what I can to get by as long as my family have what they need everything else comes second. My lude build as plenty of you probably know is roosty to say the least so based on a budget I wanted to see what's the best. As far as price goes vinegar seemed to be the cheapest. I took some rust and not cleaned prior to this wheel nuts off the lude. Soaked them in water and let time do the work.

Here's the results

this reminds me of my days doing science at school we had a selection of jars with nails in , if memory serves me right one had just air in , one just water , one with water topped with a film of oil , one just oil , are you trying to find a product which is good at treating rust or do you need some new nuts ;)
