Which underseal?

Post by lewd lude lover » Sun Mar 18, 2018 5:20 pm

I have come down to a selection of three for this. I dont like waxol anymore.

UPOL Raptor

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UPOL-Raptor- ... 1438.l2649

POR15

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/POR15-Gloss- ... SwubRXMbt7

or a ghetto version, bituminous black paint. Roofing tar effectively.

So, what are peoples experience? What are peoples other offerings? Can anyone see why roofing tar wouldnt do the same job as the very expensive coatings? its just got to keep water off the metal after all...

Any posts much appreciated.

ok, so i have used the ub dynax on the red type s. I did a whole strip down and put the BH high build galvi primer all over it and then hand coated the UB on. i thought it was ok but for the money I couldnt see any difference to the basic bitumin paint but for the price. The shults is the same kinda stuff. very good for the job but I cant work out whats particularly different to a half decent roofing tar. so maybe i need to touch it up ever year? I dont know. I have three vehicles coming up to protect this summer and the half price option seems pretty good considering.

Ive used black jack on a number of different building/garden jobs and its great stuff :)
i guess the only differences may be that it wont have an anti corrosion additive(s) that the car stuff will have - it wont be as easy to apply and it may take a bit longer to dry but you will be able to slap on good thick layer in one go ;)

Dinitrol 4941
Really excellent stuff.

Depending on the quantity you want to buy, either the Dinitrol website or their ebay shop may be cheaper
