CF front lip designs?

Post by A1ex » Sun May 13, 2012 11:09 am

After seeing a lot of carbon fibre front lips at JF yesterday it's got me thinking about what kind of lip to put on the lude.

I've got a motegi lip at moment so trying to decide between doing a striaght copy of this and something a bit more racey...

Also just had the idea of an electronically adjustable front lip, so flick a switch and the lip drops nice and low 8-) This would work well with the JDM/USDM style lip I think.

So does anyone have any suggestiong for front lip styles?

How broken is it?

I've been thinking about the best route to go down with the splitter. After talking to Sean at JF and hearing about his trouble getting the lude up on the ramp with it and not being lowered yet it got me thinking...

I've started planning a remote height adjustable front splitter :) I've sourced an actuator for the movement, along with a control box and a keyfob so the splitter can be adjusted to any height (within the scope of the actuator) and am currently mapping out the pivot points and overlap areas for it to work.

This gives the opportunity to increase the size of the splitter, so for example with the type s one you can make it up to 5cm lower so the front would be around 8-9cm off the floor but can be taken back up to the normal height at any time. This would obviously be good for the track day road cars and would look the dogs at a show :D
