OK, so there's plenty of guides to generally restore CF issues like on carbon bonnets (mine too, pretty easy to sort), but on my sunroof and spoiler it's peeling REAL bad...
so my question is, do i need to remove all of the old lacquer covering the CF, and if so how? ive sanded and sanded and sanded with different grades of paper but it does very little
RattyMcClelland not sure if you have experience of sorting this maybe?

Yes mate, speaking from experience, you have to remove ALL the lacquer!
My issue was slightly different in that I had cloudy resin that I didn't see until I'd sealed it in with new resin

, but again, if you don't remove all the old laquer it will inevitably blow underneath your new laquer.

Start at 180/240 grit on a 6" Da remove it all, refine 400, 800, 1500.
Then relacquer.
The spoiler looks like its gone right through though.

I thought that. Looks like you need to re-resin it (Not as tricky as it sounds).

excellent, thank you both! Yes the ARP spoiler has always been pretty bad, so i'd rather get it sorted now

Like others have said you really should get all of the laqure off, using a dna sander really helps using finer n finer sand paper on it
