5g Mugen Style Rear Lip On Ebay

Post by chris_rd92 » Mon Jan 24, 2022 12:23 am

Hi Guys,

I've been on the search for a new rear lip for my 5g to replace my cheap Motegi rep one, and I quite like the look of the Mugen rear lip. I can't find one anywhere, but I'm thinking of trying my luck with this fiberglass Mugen style one on Ebay at the moment. I'm a dab hand at fiberglass and bodywork so worst case scenario I can make it fit nice.

Just wondering if anyone else has tried it by any chance? Also if there will be any difficulty shipping something this size from Poland?

Cheers
Chris

I've always been fine shipping stuff from Poland. I've never been charged duty on anything from Poland and the ad doesn't mention duty like it does for items from other places so can only assume Poland is somehow exempt.

I just bought a DSP from Poland. Got absolutely raped with import duty. £130 on a £650 item.
All came into effect in August.

Jesus Christ!! In the end I decided against purchasing after the seller cheekily put the price up over night, and I'm glad I bailed after reading this!

I have a motegi rear lip spare, but it has been hacked around the exhaust tip area. You might have seen it at japfest. If I ever get around to painting my spare good lip, this one would become available. If you still havent found one by summer give me a shout - I'll porbably have tried to repaint it by then (i might even try to use the good one to make a profile to replace the missing/hacked off part of the old one).

Import tax is a lotery. I had many parcels from US with no extra to be paid and some which were stopped in customs office. Unfortunattely I think it's to big to be missed. On another side you can speak to the seller and ask to miss the real value on declaration. It's illegal but Chinese do that on regular basis without asking
