The Andre's Free mini detail workshop

My friend Andre is very good at detailing cars.

He is doing a work shop that teaches basics of 'getting started' on detailing.

This is from his post:
After reading some posts, it occured to me recently that there are a good few amongst you that would like to or are thinking about stepping up from hand application of waxes to either a DA or rotary. After giving it a bit more thought, I wondered if it would be of interest to you all if I were to run a mini detailing workshop say for a morning, to just give those curious amongst you how to go about taking the next step and just how to about things?
At this point it is just a thought but I thought i'd put it out there and find out if anyone would be interested in me running a "Getting Started" workshop aimed at helping people transition from hand application to machine use. Primary concentration would be on the DA as that is the easiest and safest first step, with a look at compound and polishing techniques, pad selection and application methods. I will also be able to show use of a rotary and the upsides and downsides of using one.
It would be aimed at first timers or those curious about mechanical correction, not at seasoned hacks. It would be in Stratford Upon Avon where I am based and i expect it would be a morning session 3 hours or so.
Please note that this would be entirely free of charge and there will be no selling anything or promoting anything, just feel it might be of benefit to some of you and that it might be of help!
Date(s) to be looked at if the interest is there. So if you are interested please could you post against this one to register your interest.

Date is Sunday 21st October 2012, times are 10:30am till 13:30pm and few people are attending. The workshop will be in secret location. I was thinking, for some of us who are close to him can also attend. Would be good to meet and up learn how to get our cars shiny. 8-) Andre is providing everything you need so you just need to come with your car and maybe some Rich Tea biscuits. :D

It's 1hr 43 mins from my house, but I'm defo free on that day and would be cool to see more Prelude's.

Thanks. I am a definite - if that's ok? I've checked my diary and can certainly make it. I would like to be there, but that said, only if there is a place. I wouldn't want to go, if that meant that somebody else (off the forum where the arrangements were made) had to miss out as a consequence. That wouldnt seem fair.

Well the Andre wanted more then 5 people to make this workshop worth while and so far only 3 people are definate so you should be cool.

I'll add you to the list. :)

Thats great. Cheers Nitin.
I expected the problem would be having room for everyone that wanted to go rather than getting enough to make it worthwhile! :o

Same here! I thought everyone would line up and only the top 10 would get selected but it's the other way around.

Still would be cool to see more Preludes. There are some freebies given by Merguir as well. 8-)
