4th gens are the same shape so in theory that should fit!

honda make 2. one is made of steel and you find it in a 4th gen called a sunroof and the other is made of glass and is found in a 5th gen also called a sunroof.
if you just want to "bung" the hole where a sunroof used to be you could always put a sunroof in it or cut out the gubbings from underneath a sunroof and weld in the panel that used to be a sunroof.

A lot of civic models have a fibreglass bung available to people who want to remove the sunroof for weight saving obviously this isn't available for preludes
Welding a roof skin would more then likely cause a hell of alot of distortion
