Doesn't really matter where you put it, any position will look good. Why not try all of them like this guy?!...

my Mugen never had the mounts either. All i did was tiger seal the spoiler on and drill through the boot and fit self tapping screws into the spoiler.

Mine came with the clips fortunately but they were a little rusty and were never cleaned up before fitting.
Here is a pic though of it mounted. quite a good angle. I will pop the boot and get some pics ofthe clips later when it f00king stops snowing!

Hey Dan,

Does your spoiler have the long metal bars fixed either end to the three screw holes?
If not you’re probably scratching your head to my bracket dims. You’ll need to fab some up. If you need details, you know who to ask. I have a pic knocking about somewhere, maybe even with the dims on again.

As for correct fixing, location wise just make sure it’s centred properly, there is only so much give side to side with the brackets anyway. Then most importantly make sure the middle spoke is almost flush with the vertical back of the boot. Mine is in about ½ inch to an inch and that spoke doesn’t sit 100% with the curve of the boot. Put it on loosely with some protection down and you’ll see what I mean. Then it’s double sided padded tape to all areas of spoiler spokes that contact the boot. Stick in place and secure either side with the side ‘C’ clips.

Yeah the metal bars are there. I was hoping to try and get it on this weekend.

( Strangely it works though?!) Fixed louvre covers for the rear windows were popular around that time. That's quite a novel take on one!
:? Have to admit the standard of work looks good too - especially the wide arch jobs

(Oh God, now I sound like I'm living up to my Essex roots and want a boyo'd up Escort Turbo...) :(
