They are quite cheap now, £42 delivered for a non-locking set. But If I lived in the city I would get the locking ones.

Just get some stainless bolts to fit them, the original ones will rust the first time it rains!!

Really? mine are fine :? And they haven't moved for 3 years

Make sure you oil the spring mechanism though to prevent it seizing. (Not a fault, just good practise for moing parts that do't move often ;-) ).

Got some locking aerocatches too, but not fitted ( ) so can't comment on the bolts.

I also got some strengthening plates for mine to fit to the underside of the bonnet to give the nuts and bolts and good bearing on the bonnet.

Got them both from EPR Racing over a couple of shows so a good price. 8)

I have some locking aerocatches too, also not fitted yet.
Going to make my own metal strengthening plates from some metal sheet.
Got mine from the demontweeks stand at autosport international. think they were around £50

Good call on these, I didnt know they existed so I just now bought a set (£10.49 delivered). A great idea for not only strength but they have captive nuts! Saves fiddling about with the standard nuts.

how much were they? I might just buy some too, save messing with making my own if they have captive nuts
