Just come back from having car MOT'd got two advisories but passed :)
On advisories has got that the inner sills are corroded on both sides. Is this common? And how much would it be roughly to sort out?

That's a strange one...
It's outer sills (which they can't see because of the skirts) and arches that are the usual suspects.

Did they show you what/where the problem was?

If not, best to get under there and have a look and post up pics.

No they didn't show me :s
When I removed my side skirts it all looked nice and clean so might have take another look.
I have got a little bit of rust forming at botton of rear arches unless its that??

The inner sills are only visible from underneath the car, or if you peeled back the carpet inside the door (which they won't have done on the MOT).
If you imagine being underneath the middle of the car and looking out sideways, they're the back edge of the sills running front-back along the car (sticking down from the floor pan)

If that isn't the bit they meant, then they've used the wrong description as far as I would understand it :?

I agree wurlycorner. You are not allowed to remove anything for checks as you only test what can be seen. So not sure about inner sills, unless as you say, they can see it from underneath. :?

Its telling you that your cars floorpan has surface rust (basically its brown not rusty), need to get under the car and clean it up with something like a wire brush and undersealing it again. The 5th I got of merc was advised for this also, I seen the car on the ramps last week when my new exhaust was fitted and its exactly this, planning on doing mine this weekend or next.
