I cleaned up part of the engine on my lude recently. Tried foam gunk first and it didn't do a lot, so resorted to tipping jizer over it instead, which worked far better. Bit of agitation with a paint brush and it works well.

The product i use is called GUNK. Poor some into a small pot and use a paint brush to work it into the dirt. When it is all loose, just wash it all down with a hose pipe on low pressure. Tough areas may require a repeat application.

EDIT: use the liquid stuff in a can, not the foam stuff.

Gunk 's been around for ages. Works well, but can be messy when you hose down. You need a lot of water if you've got a drive you don't want to stain.

gunk used to be great then the EU got involved. i wouldnt spend the cash now.

Good old petrol and a wire brush/stiff paint brush. that or a pressure washer. Petrol works though.
