the problem with pushing the curve up the rev range is the trade off with lower torque at lower engine speeds, this makes it a real pain to drive normaly, you have to ask yourself - how often realisticaly will i use this extra power :? you wouldnt want a car you have to rev like a nutter in town :P this is why i mentioned the nitro, you dont have to use it, only when you need it. downside to nos is your insurance  you can have a 270bhp lude and still get blown away by a std lude fitted with a 50bhp nos kit (not for long though as it would run out of gas :D ) if your power is for the strip and you dont really intend driving it everday then daft tuning is fine.
i have had loads of bikes like this, sittin at the lights everone looking at you- pause
grannies rolling there eyes - pause
plod looking intrested  - pause
pulling away with people putting fingers in there ears (the polite people that is, im not saying what the less polite people do with there finger).

all good fun thought

Yeah, I doubt I'll be pushing up the rev range. Doesn't sound overly practical for everyday use.

I'll do my research, work on the fundamentals, and get the engine working as it should do initially. Then I'll fit some ATR parts (inlet manifold, throttle body, & cams), a BMC CDA airbox, and full Mugen exhaust system (or equivalent). At the same time as this I'll get a suitable ECU map & setup on a rolling road. Then later I'll look at forced induction I guess.

I'll have to do some more research about NO2, cos I don't want to break my car. Plus it requires a fair bit of maintenance from what I gather.
