Warning Lights on!!

Post by prahunt » Fri Oct 03, 2014 8:30 pm

Hey,

I've just had these warning lights come on in my Lude.

ABS
BRAKE LAMP
HANDBRAKE
4WS

The only thing that has happened to the car is I sorted the wiring to the rear speakers in the boot. Replacing the dodgy tape job with proper crimps and connectors...
Then driving home these lights popped on. I pulled over turned the car off, and waited. Then started her back up fine no lights. Then driving back again the came back on, minus the 4WS.

Any idea what's happening here?

Check your brake light bulbs. This will cause Christmas tree dash syndrome.

So this just turned out to be dodgy wiring on the actual speakers touching the bodywork. I will upload a picture later to demonstrate why we shouldn't cut corners when doing electrics people!!!
