Fitting a new air-con control box - help please.

Post by simonc » Tue May 31, 2016 3:26 am

Hi everyone, we got a lot done on the car yesterday, (I'll put up some shots on my profile page) but there was one job where we ground to a halt yesterday, namely the air-con control box.
I bought it from lxstuart before Christmas and although we've had a few false starts, we fitted the new dials so that's a job out of the way.
However, we could not figure out how to remove this little lot.

There are two screws on the underside (sorry, not in the picture) but after that Jason had these 'spatula' things he uses to remove units like this in other cars. However, it wasn't coming out and we weren't going to risk breaking the plastic.
Where are we going wrong gents? Are there anymore screws we should be looking for?
I'd be so grateful for your direction, as I'd love to get the new unit fitted and get rid of that horrible one that's in situ at the moment. Thanks in advance, Si.

Hi,

theres an additional screw under the unit beside the wiring plugs of this unit.
You have to remove your radio to see it

Guten morgen @Kemp, thanks for that. I guess this is what we were thinking that the CD player will have to come out.
