To clarify - that's In Car Entertainment - not frozen water

to be honest i cant see why having both beams on is a failier, what difference does it make eeerrr none :? exept if the dip goes out with high beam on, then how the hell can you see the road in front of you, yeh sure you can see half mile away, what good is that

The dip stays on when you activate the range/full beam on a five.

The flash merely operates the range; you cannot flash someone if you're already blinding them.

It's the same on an S2000 or NSX and a zillion other cars.

Sounds like your MOT guy's a gentleman's sausage.

You can blind him with my xenons, if you like...

It turns ut that one of the bulbs were put in upside down. This threw the light pattern out which the MOT tester assumed was as a result of both bulbs being illuminated rather than misalignment of the bulb.

SOrted now with Nightbreakers. :D

I was thinking this too, I thought they cast out light through 360 degrees, and the reflector aimed the light :?

Yes. That's why there's a flat on the base to ensure correct orientation.

I think that's the implied concern; it can if you use a hammer...
