Car alarms

Post by nitin_s1 » Mon Nov 12, 2012 5:18 pm

At the moment I have a Toad Ai606 on the car.

Last night some scums had jumped on my Bonnet

Now I want something better or are there any add-ons that I can have, so that it will alarm if someone gets close or touches it???

Bastids! I was looking at car alarms a while ago and Clifford do a range of alarms that go off when somebody gets within a few feet of the car. I'm sure other manufacturers do this as well, but I know it is rather expensive, it was about £550 I think for the all singing, all dancing alarm system.

That included them coming out and setting it all up, as well as connecting your windows, boot etc to automatically close when you alarm the car. Probably not a great idea though if you leave the car where people walk past it frequently, as it would go off all of the time.

talk to gap security they are really good. My brother upgraded his alarm and went for a toad.

I wouldnt reccommend clifford but i guess it depends how they are installed

I have heard toad alarms are the best and most reliable in the buisness

sorry to hear that nitin. Is the damage bad, noticable or easily repairable?

Is this what you're after:

http://carzapper.info/

Not sure if it's legal in this country...

Or there's this one:

Alternatively you could make a mod that does this:

I had a rocker sensor fitted for free when I had my toad alarm fitted. Same one as yours mate. He was giving them away with fitting so im sure its not an expensive part.

it was a user set vibration alert box. If the car was moved at all it set the alarm off. Like the bonnet sensor its an add on. i cant find one on ebay but the guy i used was called safe and sound on ebay. call him and ask maybe.
6th gen Prelude please Mr Honda. RWD 2.4 turbo lude.

You should be able to add onto your existing alarm.

Cheers dude, I've emailed some local alarm fitters and waiting for their replies. :)

I'll update when I can. :)
