5th gen front speakers.

Cheers guys, nothing wrong with speakers in the car but mum got me a set off Vibe Slick 6's as an extra at Christmas and there the right size. Bound to be better than the standards and means I can let her know they didn't go to waste.

Ratty, actually have something I removed from the 4th gen that may be something your interested in, can have them for postage cost, ill get some pics up once I've fitted the speakers and you can let me know.

@RattyMcClelland this is what I was talking about here.

Whether its any good or not I cant really say as its a long time since I've had an amp/sub in any car I've owned.

Marking on the cables are

Power cable - autoleads q-series ofc competition grade 20mm2 power cable
Phone leads - autoleads q-series ofc competition grade phono cable

Is that diagram right, I can buy 6x9's for the rears and they will be a direct replacement for whats there? Also, diagram says 6.5. Is 6 a safer option for the fronts?

Turned out the speakers were slightly to big so figured id cut them down a little and totally ballsed it up to the point there only fit for the bin

Only good thing is the original speakers are still in good condition so they will need to do till I get another set.

Just measured the standard fronts, there 6.25

Cut them down? What were you trying to cut? Up load a picture of the crime scene haha.

What was you cutting? The mounting rim on the front so the cover would go back on?

I was going to buy some speakers, but no one seems to make 6.25, either 5 something or 6.5.

Anyone changed the tweeters? Diagram says 1.5. That wrong too? haha.
