Oem 5th gen acoustic feedback system is brilliant. Full music from the front and active acoustically equalized and bandpassed rear speakers so to high frequency comes from behind and does not drag the soundstage back. Most people remove the rear and put full range in the back and think it sounds better because it's now playing high notes but you have then defeated the point of a propper sound system.
Newkid. I could probably make use if the cables. I'll send you some money over.

Ah, so upgrading the fronts and leaving the rears is the best option?RattyMcClelland wrote:Oem 5th gen acoustic feedback system is brilliant. Sound deadening won't make much difference to road noise, unless you go all out. Tyres, suspension and build quality and materials used make that difference.GOONIESnvrSAYdie wrote:I never realised how poor the sound deadening was till I got it back after borrowing a mates TT. The road noise, especially when wet was so different. Almost sounded like I had no doors at all. Original sound deadening difficult to get rid off?
Oem deadening comes off when frozen and smashed. Ie dry ice. Easy.
