No 'JDM-BB4' sorted me out with a Spoon P13 copy chip, and I used this on my existing ecu.

Now the ecu seems to be drokked. I assume the chip is still ok.

yeah he offered me ecu & chip for £50 delivered, which was nice.

I only took the chip for £20 though as the ecu is not ideally suited for my tics setup.

so i'm hoping he's still got the ecu (with socket attached) for £30.

that would be my best bet i'd imagine.

sent a pm, just gotta wait for him to get back to me..

I hope it will be alright ultimately.

If I do send it off to @bluejackhustler, i'll ask him to fit a socket as well. this should save a lot of trouble in the future.

how much does he charsge typically for such a service? (assuming he can fix it)

Ok, so I've ordered the socketed ECU off @JDM-BB4.

He's posting it out 1st class tomorrow, so I should receive it Friday. Happy days!

Hopefully that should get me back on the road..

I'll keep you posted.

I hope this is a simple fix. I can't see there should be any other problems..

But we'll find out on Friday. :?

Are you sure you've got solder through to the other side of the circuit board?

Also not broken any tracks on the side the Chip attaches too?

I broke one that was a link between the top and bottom, soldered in a bit of wire and fixed it.

Give it a good look over and see if you can see any issues

I'll have another good look later, but couldn't see anything wrong initially.

Have a good look. With a magnifying glass too. Could be tiny. My w/shop controller was sitting at his desk with a mag glass and an old accord clock. I wondered what the feck he was doing lol. He fixed it to my amazement.
