Hi guys, have a small issue with my headlights haha!
I know the os headlight on my 2g doesnt work which i believe is a bad earth but i can wind it up and down manually.
However tonight when i pulled up at home and turned the lights off the ns headlight didnt go down! had a quick look, the wires are all ok so i tried manually winding it down but it wouldn't let me. It got to a certain point then bounced back. So im guessing the motor is still working but its not getting the command to go back down. Could this be a blown fuse or does the light switch on the stalk have a problem?

cheers
Rob

Does the 2g have a switch to make the lights stay up? The 3g had one to facilitate cleaning.

Yes, top right hand side of the instrument cluster there's a button to keep the lights in the upright position.

I had a feeling this prelude was going to develop all sorts of problems. Has the offside light ever worked since you've had it?

I was going to suggest that same switch.

No the offside ones never worked lol. Yes that makes sense il have a play around in the morning.

Well there's a few small things, no joke it's been mostly stuff dissconected like reverse lights, fog lights, aerial and a couple of other bits. The rad fan doesn't work so if I'm in traffic it gets hot, the heater has a mind of its own and randomly goes of full blast :L not too much else to be fair :L

Changed the thermostat and now doesnt cut out which is handy :L

Yeah it was the switch haha, all sorted!

Gone on my 300mile trip, done 100 miles and all good so far. Furthest I've dreven her

With the is headlight I've checked all the fuses and relays and there all good so has the motor gone on it do you think?

Check the plug on the motor to see if there's any voltage.
