I'm looking for the fuse for the heater controls and the heater blower. There's no lights on the heater controls and the blower isn't working. It's a bb1 4th gen. Thanks

Checked all the fuses under the bonnet and nothing has blown and the fuse box in the drivers footwell, nothing blown there either?? So any clues? No heating what so ever? Or blower working.

Is there a fuse missing that should be there?

Have a check of the service manual and that will show you what the circuit should have in it.

No idea on the service manual buddy. Just been reading up about heater problems. Could be the lights are just not working so not fussed about those. It's just the damn fan isn't working. When I'm cruising at 70 there is got air somehow getting into the car but the fan isn't blowing it in. Is it a common problem for the fan to stop working?? Had the same problem on my mb6 and needed a new fan, a common problem on the mb's.

No it's not a common problem at all. The service manual can be downloaded from the wiki-lude section.

Checked all the fuses and everything is fine. There is a new radio in there so I'm wondering if they have accidentally knocked a plug out for it?

Does it work on high setting but not on others?
If it does, then your blower motor resistor pack is knackered.

If it doesn't, then it could be;
Fuses 32, 33, 35, 9, igntion switch, blower motor relay, blower motor, fuse box, fan control switch, or wiring.

Do the lights under the direction control buttons work? (i.e. if you click on windscreen/feet/face etc., does the light under each one come on)? If not, then it's fuses 32, 33 or 9 or the igntion switch, fuse box, or the wiring up to the control panel.

If those lights work, then it means you're down to blower motor relay, blower motor, fan control switch or wiring from control panel to fan/earth.

I would re-check fuse 35 (40A) which is one of the big ones and 43 (7.5A or 10A) in the engine bay fuse box.

And fuses 5 (10A) and 9 (7.5A or 10A) in the foot well fusebox.

The fuses in the engine bay supply the power to the devices but the foot well fuse box has the fuses for the relays which control when the power is sent to the devices.

Ok, so the lights on the controls don't work. And the fan does not come on any setting also the rear screen demos yet does not work.
I checked the fuses, all of them were fine apart from fuse 9 which I changed and nothing happenend.
Is there only 2 fuse boxes, 1 in the footwell and 1 under the in the engine bay? Checked all those and everything is fine.
And is there a link to the wiring diagrams?

And thanks for your help so far, much appreciated.
