As above, I want a remote starter for my car.. ideally one that isn't connected to some crappy alarm system, does anyone have any recommendations at all?

I've had a quick look on eBay but couldn't really find what I was looking for.

Cheers

hahaha I could do that on days that she stays - I'm not sure how keen she'll be though.. I'll mention it and see what response I get :)

I had that on my old Lude with a Clifford alarm system I use to scare the crap out of the school kids when they were walking past it lol

Hahaha Clifford alarms are good, but they are quite pricey too..

Don't leave it in gear.

Yeah I think it cost me around £700 when I had not done but that was about 9 years ago. It wouldn't start if it was in gear ;)

that's a very interesting topic. I already thought about it and if you're smartphone-geeky you may be able to somehow put a portable phone in the car (do yo uhave free phone contract in the UK ? or just one that you won't get charged if you only get calls but don't give some), and when you call that number, the car would start (idk, like putting the ringer output on the starter of the car ?). of course you'd block every other number so yo uwon't get calls from advertisement or pranking friends !

There are already apps that do this without the need for hardwiring a phone into your car. ;)

I have one on mine, had it about 8 years, useful for about 10 days of the year!
