What is this warning light?

Just came on today, but not sure what it is? :|

Looks like a CAT warning light, but your going to tell me it doesn't have one?

As Vtecmec said, it's the cat overtemp light. Most people snip this sensor out and ground the wire that runs to it against the chassis.

That's what I thought. So why would it have started to come on? Something to do with the puddles interfering with the connection/plug/electrics underneath?

Any reason to be concerned about it?

And yes, it has no cat. :)

I can't actually remember if the ECU uses or ignores this. The fact there's a warning light makes me think the ECU does indeed pay it attention though, could be worth a look underneath to make sure the wire is solidly grounded.

It's fading in & out when I apply & come off the throttle.

Have you got a decat then Andy? I thought JDM's came with a CAT ???

They do, but Sam de-catted it because it doesn't require one; being so old.

More I think about it, the more that sounds like a bad earth somewhere. Are your engine bay earths all ok?
