I need to figure a way of getting a 3" exit of a 12V in line blower to connect to a 2" duct flange. Any bright ideas how this can be done cheaply and lightweight?

Or just ram the 3" ducting on the 2" flange and jubilee clamp it?

I think drain pipes have similar size and reducers, maybe look at them?

Look at pipework for air intakes, stuff like:

Yeah I was going to just suggest a 3" to 2" silcone reducer as well...

Something like this?

Or one of these plus a short straight pipe into the flexi?

Is it the sort of thing pond suppliers might stock?
(They don't have to know you're trying to build a cheap turbo ... )

I don't think the silicone reducers are any good as they wont be strong enough to grip to the ducting and support a jubilee clip.

Some of those look good though if I could get them in the size I need, and in the UK.

You'd be surprised. Unless you seriously crank the jubilee clip up tight, it won't collapse on itself. It will remain round unless you squash the jubilee clip. Otherwise you could source a 2cm length or so of aluminium tube of the right diameter and use that as a reinforcement.

I'd go for the silicone reducer to be honest.
