brake warning light & handbrake light.

Post by mart609 » Sat Apr 19, 2014 4:59 pm

Had to remove the rear light clusters today to take my bumper off.

since I've put everything back together the brake warning & handbrake light on the dash have stayed on.

But both my brake lights are working....

Fluid level being low can cause this.

This.

It could just be a coincidence its happened at the same time you've taken your bumper off.

Checked the fluid level today and its about 10mm above the min level. so I don't think thats the cause. I'll top in up just incase.
Any other Ideas? It's pissing me off now because its tripping my abs and 4ws lights too after a short drive.
So my dash is like a xmas tree

I reckon one of your blown bulb sensors is gubbed. Try this and see if it cures it, will eliminate the sensors:
