Hi peeps. I've recently stripped down a bb1 gen 4 for spares but mostly for the engine to go in to my bb3.
I've come across the ecu and opened it up to find a non standard chip.
It claims to be a Tokyo-Tuning JDM chip
Written on it is;
Tokyo - Tuning
Mugen S1
P13
M021316
I'm just wondering if anyone knows what it does and if I'm able to play with it on a dyno?
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like an eBay jobbie? Not very well thought of if I'm correct pal.

Id say its a genuine chip, the eBay specials look very home made compaired to that, good find

I dunno, looks like a printed piece of paper badly cut out with scissors.

Have you ever seen a eBay chip? They look like the crap photo printer you could connect to a nitendo game boy and then cut out by a 5 year old. They make this look good. Plus they have no info written on them other than "SPOON" and "MUGEN"

I would not trust it, I don't think Mugen ever did any P13 tuning either? If they did I'd also expect them to badge to outside of the ECU too, like Spoon did.

The outside of the ecu has stickers on it too. Will take a photo of that later and post it up
