So the lude type s I'm looking after has become an oven in the sun, the heaters set on 32deg and will not go down, everything else works perfectly.
It has the digital display seen in all jdm ludes I think, has anyone else had this problem and know a solution?

Lisa's temp control was jobby...
no...
let me rephrase that... The temperature control on Lisa's Lude was jobby when we got it. I thought it didn't work at all but by holding the control in either up or down and wiggling it, it would work.
Give that a whirl?
Other than that, only option would be to change the control unit. I think 4g and 5g units are the same, except for the colour of the display?

I've given it a good try and got nothing, what seems abit odd is that I don't remember it goin higher than 28 in the past, not that I used it much then.
Just noticed I must have a spare unit sat in a car outside too

What happens when you press auto. Does it cool down?

Lowest is 18 and highest is 32.
Try to swap the unit as that might be faulty

The only other difference is the display domes out on the 4th gen, whereas it's more a flat recess in the 5th.

The plugs on the back are different. But everything inside the unit is swappable as I did it.

Well I took both units apart to swap bits but the connections were differnt and needed wires cutting and soldering which Seem'd like a lot of effort.
Instead I went over a couple solder joints that looked suspect, although it's tricky as there seems to be a few intentionally left and telling the difference is tricky. Lucky for me it's now working and think I may have fixed the rear demister that I didn't know was broken
Thanks guys
