Removing spoiler brake light???

Post by chris1811 » Wed Jul 01, 2015 10:30 pm

Hi guys trying to remove the spoiler brake light for a little project.

I've located the 4 screws and popped the unit out, located what I believe is the wiring and connector in the boot but can't seem to free the wire from the spoiler at the unit end.

Am I being thick or is there a trick to it??

Have done a search and haven't come up with anything other than people asking if it's legal.

Cheers in advance

There is a connector, I can't remember if it's inside the bootlid or inside the spoiler itself..

Yea found the one in boot lid but wire seems to be stuck in the spoiler. If I tug and wiggle it, it won't move.

There is another connector inside the spoiler itself. I can't remember if you have to remove the spoiler to pull it through though?
