How do i check a fuse for sidelights

I have a JDM car so fusebox is in gook

Is it under the bonnet or in the drivers footwell?

And finally, how can i tell if the fuse is the problem??

Is it just sidelights that don't work? Do the main headlights work ok?

Perhaps we need a photo of a UK fuse box cover in the Wiki as a resource


Go through all the fuses in the engine bay fuse box one at a time if you dont know what one is what, it wont take long.

If you have no front or rear side lights, then check fuse 42 in the under-bonnet fuse box.

Fuse 42 is in the row closest the bulkhead 4th from the right, and should be a 20 amp fuse.

Hmmm, fuse 10 on the internal fusebox on the wiring diagram I'm looking at is empty, so maybe it's slightly different on a 5g.

On the pic above of the under-bonnet fuse box, the label "small light" is the one you're after.

Yeah, headlights work

I've got the PDFs of all the fuses somewhere. At worst I've got the print outs either in my project lude's glovebox or it's in with my car paperwork, so I can always scan them in

If you have a multi meter set it for continuity (so that the meter beeps when the probes are touched together). Pull the fuse and put one probe on each leg of the fuse. If the meter beeps the fuse is fine, if not then it is blown.
