Are the fm transmitters you see on ebay/amazon any good? I have all my music on my iPhone but my new car does not have aux in and the socket at the back of the radio for aux is being used for the DAB radio.

I bought a cheap one (£5) from Amazon for the wife's iPhone (old iPhone 4 - doesn't work with the new one cos of the new connector). It worked, but after about half an hour the frequency seemed to change and it needed retuning, but for the price it does the job.

They're not the best as they have to be such a low power to be within regulations. Audio quality is quite poor too.

What makes is the head unit and add-on dab tuner? Sometimes you can pick up iPod interface units that still allow pass-through for other accessories as well.

If it already has an aux socket can't you just buy a 1-2 aux connector?
