Lude Generation

I have a small audio issue, every time I shut my drivers for my speakers cut out, it sounds like its shorting out. I have had the door card off and checked the wiring, which is all fine. The only problem I can see is that a seal has perished on the part in the picture attached


Any ideas?

maybe water getting in there?

try taping it up or something

I have now found worked out that i could be an earthing problem as the lock where clicking early when i was driving it. How are the door electrics earthed?

Does anyone have a picture or a diagram of the door wiring? All the door electrics work when the door is open or closed, its just the speakers cut out whenever i go to close the door.

you need to take the doorcard off and get the speaker out. then pop a meter on the speaker terminals and check for continuity while both open and closed. then while closing. trace the issue like that maybe.

chances are the connetions have perished . the main wiring joint needs a looksee.
