Speedo not working !

My speedo does not work .....

It was working then it started flicking up and down, then i hit a bump an then it started working again wwhhooppp !...... Then it started flicking an now it stopped working completely and the pin it stuck at max speed lol .....

It has been changed to mph as the car is JDM ....

Any ideas ???

has it thrown a code? check the VSS connection for corrosion. mine was a bit dicky the other day. dont know where it is though as rich looked at it

yeah i checked it on sunday and it seemed ok to me! i think her km/mph converter has snuffed it

does it still vtec? and did if it does or doesnt ever vtec in 1st?

Yeah that will point out if the VSS is fecked

Oh and You do NOT need a working speedo for MOT so don't worry too much

Guys it's worse than that, looks like the needles broke it was over the other side past 180mph mark, resting at the bottom of the gauge.

Look like they'd drop straight in, yours went to 180mph right?

Yeah it vtes in first and the converter is behind the dash, yeah I'd agree with you actually rob

They would actually be better dials for it anyways, as that's got the H22 tacho on it, to match the H22 that's now in there, as opposed to the F22 gauges that are currently in there.

Actually, that wouldn't have caused any issues with the speedo and cause it to break would it?

Nah, I ran H23 dials with my H22 for ages before I got all the bits for the EL conversion.
