Steering wheel audio controls?

Wondering how feasible this is?

If I where to use an old Honda CRV control:

Mount on rear of steering wheel, on the opposite side to the cruise control buttons.
It would obviously need the appropriate adaptors/wiring and the head unit does have a socket for a steering wheel control.

Is this feasable?
Would it look naff?
Are there better steering wheel controls that could fill the gap?

Appreciate any thoughts or ideas.

I don't think its naff, if I had the know how I would have done that myself a long time ago

Can't say I'm in the know either, but, if it's doable then i'll see if a local car audio place fancies sorting it for me.

Thought of the CRV control as it's possibly the best fit, all be it lacking in buttons, but, it would be mainly for volume control to be honest.

Looks like it's a similar size and shape to the cruise control buttons/case on the Lude.

Part Details - PFKL536025
SWITCH ASSY., AUDIO REMOTE *NH167L* (bit pricey at over £70)

Then, and I'm guessing here, some kind steering wheel control adaptor that feeds into the back of a compatible head unit.

I imagine a squib would be needed that's suitable for cruise and those controls. Along with the wiring (loom?) for inside the steering wheel and wiring from wheel to head unit
