I'm guessing, it's a little resister box some where in the car (maybe behind the dials or some where in the VSS) only Ratty will know.

Mine is delimited and VTEC in 1st.
Upon inspection i have a small box that goes inline between the dials and the ECU.

I HAVE VTEC IN 1ST AND 160MPH PLUS.

That green cables goes all the way through the dash to the ECU.
