engine has got to be switched off and the service connector shorted so cant be done with engine running
not sure if Honda Main dealer can pull codes with engine running - i can ask someone today and let you know

in the meantime you could check connections at the ecu and you could also look at the main relay and check there is no heat damage - ive got a few spare main relays if you want to try swapping them over :)

don't really want to go to Honda to be honest mate as it will proberly cost a bomb.

my cars got a noticeable loss of power as soon as Its heated up.so figured id find the reason my engine light is coming on but how can I find a code that cant be pulled? might just try replace the 02 sensor anyway cause its those kinda symptoms.
I don't think its the dizzy.

Ive spoken to my Honda Tech and he says you can pull codes when engine running - the honda diagnostic reader/tool communicates via the 3 pin plug next to the service connector - prob not that many honda main dealers will have the adaptor but he does and he is definately not main dealer prices. he said it could be anything but to check all earth/ground connections.
He is just round the corner from me if you want to go that route ;)

ive also got a spare working dizzy that you could try - the distributors seem to be a real weak point on these cars so id never rule that one out

Pull the code with the engine off using the paperclip method. The previous error codes are stored in memory. The car does not need the light on to show the codes.
