18 months further on, and I still cant get my cigar lighter to work. I know it isn't the fuse link on the lighter itself, as I have bought a new socket nut before fitting it I checked the feed and found that I have no power at the connections. I have gone through all of the likely fuses and none have blown. Everything else seems to power up ok, and I cant find anything about the lighter having its own fuse or relay. I think I need to go through every fuse one by one, or maybe run a new feed direct from the battery (through an inline fuseholder and switch), but I am guessing this should really use a relay to switch it?
Any help / ideas would be greatly appreciated please.

I think it uses the ignition to switch it. Have you had a look at the fuse box diagram? According to the manual on here it looks like it'll be fuseen 18 in the dash (7.5a rated one). But I'd probably go through every fuse, just to be sure.

Could be the actual unit itself have you swapped it for a known working unit at all since it stopped working

Likely fuses seem to be 18 under the dash, and 46 under the bonnet (linked with interior lighting) both of these look ok but have been replaced anyway.

I haven't replaced the unit, but did buy an aftermarket one to fit. Before doing so, I took a multi meter to the feed and earth but found I had no voltage.
