Buy a multimeter, connect in series with your battery and its positive cable and set to current 10A.
See what kind of current is being drawn with everything off.

Dug out my old Simpson meter and found 1.5 A draw. This with the radio/clock fuse pulled and the cable disconnected. btw the battery voltage does not decay over 24 hrs (open circuit). One thing which may be relevant - the ign key cannot be removed. Seems to operate normally (off-run-start) but it will not come out.

1.5A is a significant drain on the battery. i would expect the battery to be flat in a couple of days at that rate. 1.5a is about the same as leave 4 sidelights on...

Did you leave the door/boot open perchance when you took the measurement?

There is an immobiliser transponder sense ring on the ignition barrel, but i didn't notice anything to 'sense' when the key was inserted.

Perhaps the presence of the key however does keep the immobiliser circuit alive whilst the ignition is off?
