brake lamp and handbrake warning lights both on,, HELP

Post by firstlude » Sat Dec 10, 2016 5:26 pm

like the title both these lights are on and refusing to go out i have done the rear light link to eliminate the common fault but that didnt work , have tested and ruled out handbrake switch and low brake fluid switch , replaced both brake light bulbs and still the warnings are on , so kinda at a loss now as to what the cause of this fault is any help would be much appreciated could it be a faulty dash cluster

Unfortunately I'm not overly familiar with the 4g. I owned one a few years ago but didn't realise what I had until I got my 5g lol.

Have you tried bypassing the blown bulb detector in the rear light cluster? http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/wiki/in ... ning_light

Oddly, I had a similar issue but the lights kept dimming on and off randomly, eventually I worked out it was the boot catch causing some sort of feedback into the cluster.......
