Ive got a spare P13 ecu (4 plug TCS) for my BB1 and took the casing off to have a look
There is what looks to be an aftermarket chip - i cant read what it says on it because its covered in something and the surface has been scratched:x
Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on what it might be
could it be something to do with tcs or is it aftermarket...just want to check
here is a pic of ecu casing with with OEM part number

yes its definately been jiz zed on
sure its just a wax coating or similar to seal the chip
looks like SJS or STS on the chip - bit of an oddball one - dont recognise it at all
looks like i will have to fit it to find out - might be good might be bad

That's not to do with tcs. Surprising someone has done that. Is it just wax, or is it a resin? If it's resin, you might be able to polish the surface so you can read the sticker through it?

yeah looks to be the main chip fuel/ignition
thinks it more like a wax of some kind - guess i could scrape away to reveal the chip name/logo
then again i might just leave it as is
