Hondata s300

Post by Adrianh22 » Fri Jan 26, 2018 9:54 pm

Hey guys I have a h22a8 prelude with h22a7 inlet manifold and cams and just installed hondata s300 with a standard basemap to get it running, does anyone know if I can fine tune it myself and if so does anyone know decent specs to put it too to get the best out of my car
Cheers

I'd say (And please don't take offence by this) that if you have to ask, you're probably best off asking a professional to do it for you.

You'll need to tune it on a dyno to really tune it properly and easily, but by the time you've gotten used to tweaking the parameters and trialling and erroring you'll have paid an absolute fortune in dyno time. Whereas, a professional with experience in S300 and our engines will have it done to it's best potential in one session at anywhere between £250 and £500.

The other answer to your question is of course yes, you can do it yourself, but every engine is subtley different and then there's bolt on mods, so one guy's best tune won't necessarily be yours. I wouldn't skimp, get it done right, get it done once.

... And then again when you buy your next big mod, and then again after that, and so on and so on ;) :D

Where abouts are you? :)

Unfortunately there aren't too many places nearby, not that specialise in Hondas anyway.

A lot of people on here use Performance Autoworks, which is in Fairford, Gloucestershire. My car is there currently (It has been for a while, but that's another story ;) ). Rich at PAW is one of the UK's top Honda specialists and know the H22 better than anybody knows the back of their hand! :D
