Yep, dunno where you got the idea that wings needed to be removed to get too he earth's? :? Anyway...
Any joy yet?
You can confirm for sure it's the earth that's faulty by just bare ending a wire, pushing that into the back of the headlight connector (on the correct earth pin!!!) and holding the other end on the earth post on the battery.

:oops: yeah i dont know why i thought that either :lol:

we did try running an earth from the back of the connector to the battery and did get lights but very dim - just glowing orange.

im leaning towards the icm on the back of the interior fuse box - this controls the dim dip and is just a little circuit board so something may have blow on that.
i have a spare icm and also planning to cut off the old headlight connectors and solder new ones in place before i do anything.
i also remember doing a very poor repair to the speaker connector in the passenger door a couple of days before the lights stopped working so will have to check and redo that as well however as it stands- the speaker and absolutely everything else on the car works spot on.
