Im installing a hardwire kit for my new dashcams, so I can use its parking guard function. Would it be ok to get 12v and ground off the wiring loom that goes into stereo? Acc cable for hardwire will goto Acc in fusebox using an 'add a circuit' connector

I'm not sure if the 4g fusebox is the same, but the 5g fusebox apparently has unused spade connectors for such accessories (switched and perm live).
The are single shrouded spade terminals - i don't expect they are fused.
If the current draw is not great on the accessory - there probably isn't any real issue in pulling it from the back of the stereo.

Looking in workshop mamual fuebox layout I dont seem to find anything 'spare'. I'll have to look in the car when home as mot sure if UK or JDM fusebox is on there

From memory, that's how I wired mine up - to the 5G fuse box. Don't need to find a spare / unused one. Just find a fuse which is for something which is switched (ACC) and another which is for permanent (BATT). Remove fuse, poke wire in, reinsert fuse. I think that's how I did mine but it was a while ago.

I'm gonna go ahead and use Add A Circuits on 4WS ECU and ACC fuses and see how that goes.
