Looking for help regarding speaker installs

So I had the doorcard off my BB9 Prelude a couple days ago to fix the window regulator, and noticed all this good stuff below behind the door poorly fitted. It's obviously had a speaker system installed many years ago, the rear speakers work fine but the front door speakers and tweeters never worked (the passenger side speaker even fell out). I'm no good with wiring, it looks quite involved as to how these bits have been installed - so I'm just wondering how easy it would be to do a "Infinity speaker system delete" or atleast upgrade them and get them working?

Any help appreciated,
thanks!

Gets pictures up of the issue.
Wiring is pretty straight forward. Are the speakers physically installed properly?
Was it just the crossover (where all the wires go into) that fell out?

Hi mate thanks for the response. They look to be installed properly physically, however the tweeter looks to be held in with some weird sealant that's pretty crap. And I'm pretty sure the wires connecting the passenger speaker were literally twisted together, however I'll go and get some pictures tomorrow so you can see what I'm talkin about!

Cheers

I've just finished installing mine, have a few pics of the backs of the doorcards etc if needed.

Okay sorry for the delay but finally got around to getting some pics. Looks messy. As far as I can tell so far only either one or two of the rear speakers work. Nothing from the front. But I'd like to refresh the whole thing to be honest.

That would be handy if possible!

Test the current speakers work first.
The wiring most likely loose.
The 2 factory wires inside the door get connected to the crossover input. The wires in the mid bass speaker to the mid bass output of the crossover and wire the tweeter to the high tweeter output of the crossover. If it has -3 or +3 on one of the tweeter output that just increases volume of the tweeter or decreased volume of the tweeter.
Wire it in and test if it works.

No worries buddy.

Something else worth considering while you're working around speakers anyway...

With the tweeters I found I could remove the entire casing of mine until left with a raw 'tweeter' unit, the standard metal tab could be manipulated to hold it in place firmly without needing to use sealant.

The key with the standard speaker wiring as it goes in is that negative leads have a black stripe on them, positive have a green stripe.
