Windscreen Washer Jets not working

Grounds don't fail because of other components up the chain.

Time to break out the multimeter then! Even if the ground looks fine - there is no guarantee its fine at the pump end where its needed. Checking that the ground is grounded doesn really help, a break in the wire will effectively disconnect the ground from where its needed.

If you get access to the pumps, you can check for:

12v when you pump (use a good earth, not the pump wires!) - if so everything upstream is 'good'
Ground present from the pump pin to the loom - the link to g301 is all good
unplug the motor, check it has resistance across it (guessing itll be in the 10's of ohms range since its unlikely to draw more than an amp). no resistance = burnt out / failed.

If all those tests show good (it gets power, it has earth, and the motor isn't burnt out), then its most likely physically blocked with the black crud you saw on the end of the sponge.

That's what i'd do after the tapping with hammer / hot water method.

got round to tackling this job today and found the green corrosion on the pump terminals and on the corresponding plugs on the loom - cleaned that up and the washer hoses and unblocked the washer jets.
all sorted both pumps working like they should and im sure they will last another 30 years

what a great car to work on - you just cannot beat the japanese for sensible layout and easy access 8)
i love my lude

thanks to all of you for helping

Windscreen Washer Jets not working

I'm still having problems with mine, i got another wiper relay off vanzep and that worked for a day and now its gone back to wipers stopping when I let go and not wiping when I squirt the washer fluid.
Funny thing is the relay works in my silver one and vice versa.
I don't think its the stalk as I have had it working
Washer fluid come out but very weak so probably need new motors, there is no corrosion at the connector points.

new pump (aftermarket - SWP17 made by skyparts) identical to oem pump. i paid £7.90 for the part compared to about £90 from Honda.
this is the 3 pin connection front wiper washer jet pump
all working as it should. :)
the rear washer jet pump is a 2 pin connection.
